Highlights of the Summer
Margate, New Jersey
October, 2006
Man what crazy good times at the Jersey Shore.
I would say the highlight of the entire summer was the incredible surf we had for the entire month of September. I have never gotten so barreled so many times at the Jersey Shore.
There was also the big pre-Thanksgivings celebration at 8801 on October 26. I always miss Thanksgivings and since we happen to have a Turkey, we had a great feast with Margot, Big John, Anita, Alissa, Marls, and Me. I guess the whole night would not have been so memorable besides the fact that our dinner was constantly interrupted by moths flying in from the kitchen. We all tried to ignore them. Margo couldn't see them and that was good. Big John noticed them and just mumbled and swatted them away. The rest of us did our best, but it was impossible not to laugh. Virgina assured my that the exterminator would be there the next day.
Other highlights were the Warp Tour at the Electric Sun glass Booth with Mark Newey and the crew. We enjoyed a day of youthful exuberance and many flashed tits. The highlight was when Mark and I stood backstage for Joan Jett doing, "I love Rock and Roll."
The Violent Femmes at the House of Blues was good and of course the Stupid Olympics was filled with laughs and controversy.
The summer ended in October in San Diego with a big Party at Benhams, and then at Millers for the Big Rock and Roll Party Extraordinaire. This years party features a big rap off between the legendary Diq Diamond and local favorite DCP Phelpsy. Well, no one will deny that old Phelpsy kicked Diamonds ass. Diq had the cooler dude but tried to use old raps from the past. DCP freestyled his ass into the dust (to say it like a rapper dude).
And, of course the best part of the summer was spending it with my sweetheart Marla!!
Wew hoooo. Good times rolling!!!!
