On way to Lanzarote soon......
Paris, France
December, 2001

We have quite an interesting month in Paris, but I really look forward to some time near the sea. We leave to Lanzarote tomorrow. We will stay our first two weeks in a small surfing village called Famara. We have secured an apartment there for about 35 bucks a night - not too expensive and near some good breaks.

All is going well in Paris. Nicky and I stayed at the bookstore in the apartment for almost two weeks but now we are at Bar/Hotel Onze. It was really crowded - every bed upstairs was taken and it was a bit of a zoo. Nicky was a real trooper, but we are much happier now with a little privacy. George (owner of bookstore) is doing well. I have been working the desk every Sunday from 4 to 9 to help the old man out. He, of course, comes down so I can go up to the Tea Party. Its seems like the same French dorks show up every week so I haven't been so stoked on the Tea's. While we were staying at the store George came up and cut his hair - yep - with a candle (big showoff). I have never seen hair on fire before but I assure you, it really flames. We had to leave quickly to avoid the stench. The funny thing is that he did a really good job and he looks great!!! Everyday something strange happens at the bookstore.
